For more than sixty years, I have worked with film, photography, and writing. Regardless of the medium, my purpose has always been the same: to create work that encourages people to pause, reflect, and feel.
Today, I continue that journey through Digitalpoetism—a new word for my way of creating images.
Through Digitalpoetism & Beyond, I seek to unite contemporary digital tools with timeless artistic values. My goal is not to demonstrate the possibilities of technology, but to create visual poetry or images that combine simplicity with depth and invite the viewer into a quiet dialogue rather than offering easy answers.
I do not see artificial intelligence as a threat. To me, it is a new creative tool that I place in the service of art.
Digitalpoetism & Beyond explores what becomes possible when technology and artistic vision come together. It is about using the tools of our time to express something older than technology itself: humanity’s longing for meaning, beauty, hope, wonder, and belonging.
Innovation is essential if art is to remain meaningful. But whatever tools we choose to use, it will always be about artistic craftsmanship and the ability to express the human experience in a way that moves us.
The purpose of art is the same today as it has always been: to offer us a glimpse of truth that enriches our brief time on Earth.
