After more than 60 years as a photographer, film director, and writer, my husband Eldar now finds himself in the middle of what has become his most personal project: Digitalpoetism & Beyond.
Here, his photography, imagination, and digital tools come together in a new visual language. Some of his works will soon be available through GaffGaff Galleri as prints on paper and canvas.
He developed and refined this new visual expression during six months of cancer treatment. However, he has not yet had the financial means to complete the final and crucial production phase of the works intended for limited editions.
The Norwegian visual artist Eyolf Soot has invited Eldar to participate with ten prints in an art exhibition in Jomfruland, Norway, this summer, alongside works by renowned Norwegian artists Pushwagner, Thomas Bakkerud, and Soot himself.

This is a rare opportunity for Eldar to present his work in a professional context.
Five selected works for the exhibition:

However, these works still need to be tested and finalized as aluminium prints, with the correct surface and precise color reproduction. Mounting of fine art prints on Dibond aluminum to the level Eldar requires is currently unavailable where we live in the Philippines. He works in the landscape between kitsch and art, and he wants the absolute best for his creations.
Eldar is therefore planning a trip to Budapest, where both giclée printing and mounting on Dibond are of the highest international standard. There, he will collaborate with Giclée Factory and Pigmenta Art Print Lab to ensure the best possible results.
We have invested everything we can into this project and launched a campaign in Norway to make his participation in the Jomfruland exhibition possible. This article is an attempt to also reach out to our English-speaking friends to help make this great opportunity come through.
