There’s a reason mythical creatures have captured our imaginations for centuries. With the Pegasus Series, I wanted to channel that feeling of wonder and freedom, the sensation of soaring through a dreamy sky, unbound by gravity or expectation.

As a child, I was fascinated by glossy angel cards, and as an adult, my fondness for kitsch has only grown stronger. This series has become my creative outlet for that early fascination. Each print is an invitation to enter a world where fantasy feels close enough to touch.

Pegasus has always symbolized inspiration, hope, and the ability to rise above the ordinary. Winged horses, in particular, have a way of combining strength and gentleness in a single gesture. Their wings suggest stories waiting to unfold. I wanted these prints to feel almost walk-in, as if you could join a flock of Pegasuses in mid-flight and follow them into a more expansive sky.
As Grace and I return to Davao, this theme of ascent has taken on a new meaning. The city’s tropical light, the sudden bursts of color after rain, and the vast skies above Mindanao all carry a sense of upward movement. Davao is a place where renewal feels possible, where mornings begin with the sunrise bathing the Philippines’ highest peak, Mount Apo, in soft golden light, and evenings settle into deep, glowing blues. It is a landscape that encourages imagination, and I find that Pegasus fits naturally into this setting: a symbol of possibility in a place that is doing its absolute best to progress.

Art can transform a room, but it can also transform how we feel inside that room. In Davao, where the boundaries between nature, weather, and noise are constantly shifting, I wanted the Pegasus prints to offer a moment of quiet elevation—a reminder of lightness in a world that can often feel heavy amid the daily struggle for survival.

The warm glow of sunrise in the series, the soft textures of the wings, and the gentle upward motion all come together to express something universal: hope, resilience, and the freedom to imagine a different horizon. In a new chapter of life, in a new home, these themes feel especially close.

If you are looking to bring a sense of magic and inspiration into your space, the Pegasus Series invites you to dream a little bigger.

Perhaps Pegasus reminds us that imagination is not a luxury, but a means of staying alive.
