There is something special about the coastal town of Kragerø. Many artists have created great art here. Among these artists is Edvard Munch, who like many others, fell in love with the magic light that embraces the landscape. It is where the ocean and land emerge and create a feeling of eternity.

Aside from attending my father-in law’s exhibit in Kragerø, my husband and I was also invited to one of the private galleries in town. The painter who owns it, Christina Soot Kløvig, is an old friend of my husband, and her mother was also a very famous painter and sculptor.

Christina Soot Kløvig’s paintings are a joy for the eyes and create a feeling of a lost paradise. Her motifs are mostly from her neighborhood and she follows a tradition that has made Kragerø famous as a town of artists
