Villa Viva Belgica: A Small Oasis of a Guesthouse in Davao

Villa Viva Belgica is a guesthouse I love to recommend to all those visiting Davao who are looking for a good, quiet, and reasonable place to stay, and also locals who just want a nice meal in relaxed surroundings. It is located in Luzviminda Village in Maa, at the end corner of Hyacinth Street.

It’s really a little oasis. The sun’s heat outside will be dissipated once you step inside this lovely garden property. Owned by a Belgian and his family, you can see and taste a touch of Europe in the surroundings as well as in their menu. You can be lost in your thoughts while listening to the splashing of the fishes in their charming fishpond.

We have had some of our family and friends’ parties there, always successful, and meetings can be done in their air-conditioned function room complete with equipment.

..and it’s a nice place to relax.

They have Blue Room, Orange Room, Balcony Room, Japanese Suite, Native Suite, and Golden Room–all with private bathrooms, refrigerators, and air-cons.

The hospitable staff and very capable management are always ready to serve their guests as friends. Here is the owner, Gerard, with his staff:

I could attest to their service because I have lived there with my husband. The first Norwegian dish made by my husband for me was Lamb and Cabbage. You can cook by yourself at Villa Viva if you are living there, and have a special dish in mind for an important occasion.

Villa Viva at night…

The feeling of home and the calm environment in Villa Viva Belgica is a blessing here in Davao, and you also get great value for your money. It would be a good idea to call first if they have rooms available or if the kitchen is open before going there. Their landline is 00-(63)82-244-8284 or mobile 00-(63)915-5287974.
