Cost of Living in Spain

My friends in the Philippines have asked me to inform a little about the cost of living here in Spain. To illustrate it, I will show you the prices of the items we bought yesterday at a local supermarket in La Herradura.

By the way, you can get a central, modern and fully furnished two bedroom apartment with hot and cold aircondition here for 450 – 550 Euro or Php 23-28,000 a month. Electricity, internet and water is approximately 100 Euros or Php 5,000 a month.

To become resident of Spain, you must have a monthly income of 430 € per month for one person, 560 € per month for two persons if married or civil couple, and 130 € per month in addition for each child.

  1. What are the necessary requirements when you like to visit SPAIN?
    Unemployment is also problem of their country, I think.

    • Hola Joseph, a Schengen Tourist Visa is required for a 90-day visit to Spain for a Filipino national who has an ordinary passport. Get the process done at the Consulate General of Spain in Manila. Click here for the list of requirements. I guess opportunities in Spain now are for those who are specialists in their field.
